Now a days I am getting this error a lot in Uber app while booking a ride :

I have informed uber and paytm on twitter but no reply yet. If you are also getting same  or similar error, then tweet/retweet/reply to above tweet to get it noticed.

Hi,

Getting error..
Please visit your account settings and re-enter one of the existing payment methods by tapping "Add Payment"
Tried to add paytm again after deleting, it was success but still was getting error, so deleted Cash payment option. Still getting error.
Deleted from paytm third part authentication for uber, and trying to add paytm again, its all messed up.
Can you help out with this?
This error started showing from yesterday evening.

So sorry to see that you are having these issues. Let me make things better for you.
Due to a recent security sweep, Uber determines your account as a possible high security risk. For precautions, these warning were sent to make sure that the riders have their information updated. On your end, you can simply re-add your existing Paytm account and the hold will be lifted.

Hi,

Its great you are taking security measure.
Please remove paytm payment method at your end as I am not able to delete for readding.
If possible please add cash method as well for alternative payment method.

Check here how to re-authorize or delink/unlink your Paytm with Uber.
There are plenty of ways to get blocked/banned by uber,
have a look for some solution.
