Uber is showing its interest and commitment in India by planning to build a world class office one of the biggest outside US. It draws $50m to build a new office india.
Uber recently expanded its presence in India by 7 new cities. Now uber serves in total 18 cities. Uber is expanding its business by 40% month over month basis which is huge.

Online taxi-hailing company Uber has committed $50 million (Rs 317 crore) over 5 years for a center it is establishing in Hyderabad to train its drivers and customer support staff.

Under a memorandum of understanding it signed with the Telangana government, Uber plans to hire about 500 people to this facility in the next 5 years. Its India customer support team already operates out of Hyderabad.

Uber will also collaborate with Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge to identify and train more than 2,000 drivers by the end of 2016, who will then drive on its platform, the company said in a statement on Monday

Few days back Uber unveiled its San Francisco office pictures which is quite amazing.

Uber declined to comment on the purpose of its new facility, but it is likely to house the company’s first service centre outside of the US, according to people familiar with the matter.
Employees in the Hyderabad office will respond to messages from drivers or customers in the 18 cities in which the ride-hailing service operates in India, its largest market by number of cities outside of the US.

Uber official blog reports

Sixteen months ago our technology transformed urban mobility for millions of Indians, when it launched in Hyderabad, by introducing a more safe, reliable and efficient way to move around the city. In fact, the flexibility, entrepreneurial opportunity and earning potential of Uber’s innovative technology had an equally transformational impact on the livelihoods of thousands of driver partners and their families.

Earlier today, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana to create thousands of jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities, foster technical innovation and research into smart city initiatives and a commitment to make significant investments

Speaking at the ceremony, Siddharth Shanker, GM Hyderabad, Uber said,
Shri K T Rama Rao Garu, Hon’ble Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj has shown great vision by supporting innovation and embracing choice. This is an outstanding example of what can be achieved when the private and the public sector work together with the best interests of the local communities at heart to bridge the digital divide in line with Prime Minister Modi’s Digital India initiative.

We have a long-term commitment to creating tens of thousands of jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities, bringing greater efficiency to automobile utilization and safer transportation choices for people in Telangana state. The MoU is a visionary step and a significant milestone in how governments and Uber are working together around the world to develop smarter cities.

The first-of-its-kind MoU between the Government of Telangana and Uber will include the following areas:

Job Creation

We will leverage the unique model of our platform to create unrivalled entrepreneurship opportunities and support tens of thousands of middle class jobs in the state of Telangana.

We will partner with the government to create socio-economic opportunities for women and people from resource poor sections of society. Uber will collaborate with The Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge (TASK) to identify and train 2000+ candidates by the end of 2016 who will then drive on the Uber platform.

Though our Vehicle Finance program and technology platform we will facilitate first-time vehicle ownership and provide unrivalled economic opportunities for the successful candidates from the TASK program

Investment in Hyderabad

We will invest upwards of USD 50 million into Hyderabad to establish a state-of-the-art facility that will house hundreds of new employees.
Future-Ready Policy

Our teams will work closely with the government to develop a new framework to be executed in the next four weeks for on-demand transportation technology aggregator services that are bringing unprecedented benefits to urban transportation and the lives of thousands of drivers.
Smart Cities

Uber has always been deeply committed to enhancing people’s lives by revolutionizing urban mobility. Our vision for the City of the Future is one where a city like Hyderabad has fewer cars on the road than it does today leading to roads that are safer and have less congestion and pollution.

We will engage with T-Hub and the government and explore synergies to foster the smart cities initiative and technological innovation in the city using big data analysis

As more and more people in Hyderabad choose Uber as their preferred choice, the city strengthens its position at the forefront of innovation for Uber globally. Most recently, in April, we picked Hyderabad over 320+ other cities as the location for Uber’s global-first cash payment experiment.

This is an exciting time for Uber in Hyderabad and we hope you will continue to support us on our ride ahead.

How to Re-authorize or unlink paytm with Uber India App

Having and active Uber and Paytm account is good, but if something goes wrong from either Uber or paytm side, you the customer suffers a lot. You can't book your ride back home, you can't book ride to airport, railway station. It becomes annoying to have such messy technical app. We cannot predict what may happen in future but we may be ready with some preparation.

Uber does all account sweep for security measures from time to time, if it finds any suspicion, it blocks account, put hold on booking a ride, asks for re-verification of ID or payment method. Recently Paytm was hacked and some hacker were able to make payment in paytm from some other account, hance Uber took security measure and put hold on some accounts.

How can you regain access of your Uber account once it's disabled?

Update: Banned account is a pain, I have many friends who got locked out form Uber due to suspicious activity, some got their account enabled again after some conversation with Uber support and mostly are banned for life. Here is one scenario when you account may get banned. Read this story till end to get the idea.

Q. How can you regain access of your Uber account once it's disabled?

Recently uber had this scheme of "refer someone, that refferal gets 600 credits and you get 600 when he makes his/her first ride".

I made many people join , though all refferals were real and accounts were created with their permission and presence but all accounts were created from my phone .

I earned many credits. But soon my account was closed down.
Now whenever I try logging in from any acount in my phone  it gets banned within few minutes.

Is there any solution or any hack to avoid this and get my acount back ? I still have 5k credits left in my account and I desperately want it.
