Uber has introduced its credit card payment system again in India after some time.  Currently its available only for android users. Yes you can open your android app and attach a credit card. You don't need an international card, any card which is good to use in India is accepted. Its totally secure.

Govt has forced to Uber to use two factor authentication/verification method while taking payment. Now you have to enter OTP/i-Pin according to your credit card setup in order to verify payment.

I guess its best alternative, if you don;t want to use paytm due to its auto-deduct payment nature, and if you don't want to keep Rs 500/- in blocked zone.
